airmatic suspension ?

Hi All,

I am planning to order a CLS350 with additional option "airmatic suspension". Can someone comment if it is worth the penny ? I can't really tell the different when test drive my friend's CLS 550; try to switch between
comfort ==> sport 1 ==> sport 2

Which setting is the CLS350 (standard suspension) equivalent in airmatic ?

Should i just get PSS9 instead and adjust the stiffness as require ?

thanks !

In Australia, the CLS350 doesn't come with airmatic.

Do you guys find the airmatic is adequate for the sport driving ?

There is a definate difference between each of the three airmatic suspension modes. For me, I enjoy Sport II at highway speeds (it also lowers the vehicle 1.4") while I enjoy Comfort on some of the more rough roads. With Sport II, you can really feel the road.

thanks for the input !

I was planning to use the standard suspension 1st then upgrade to BILSTEIN B16 ridecontrol® (Bilstein's airmatic suspension). Now i change my mind just go with Mercedes's airmatic DC option; less trouble for maintenance i guess.
