CLS550 Diamond White Special Edition
Anyone seen one of these yet? Car sounds like it would be a stunner. Diamond White paint (very similar to mystic white), Cashmere leather, Premium II package, AMG sport package and AMG Performance Sound System (705 Watts!!). Supposedly 550 units for USA only.

I pick my wife up every day at the Colorado Springs MB dealer and look over alot of cars in the showrooms and outside lot... I've not seen a CLS that matches your description... This dealer does get some of the high end models as I've seen a CLK 63 Black Series, McClaren SLR, etc. so maybe in the future one of these CLS's wil show up...

Seen one and really wasn't that impressed with it. When I first read about the AMG sound system I initially didn't see system (705W) and thought that the exhaust note would be different. Anybody know what the differences in sound system are, other than Watts?

White and Silver are the easiest colors to keep clean. my S600 is white and gets washed once every 2 weeks. my S320 is silver and gets the same treatment. both cars hold up very well when it comes to looking clean.. my only pet peeve is brake dust on the wheels.
a black car ont he other hand....a ***** to keep clean, imo.

I agree, my last white car was relatively easier to keep looking clean. Making it shine like a darker color is a little tougher. My current car is black which is beautiful but I would have purchased it in white if the dealer had one on the lot.

It's actually the ICE Sound System from Bang & Olufsen. Also, we have it side by side with an Arctic White model and I'm loving the Diamond White shimmer.

Seen one yesterday and the paint is awesome, the interior not so much. I really want to see the Diamond White with the red leather interior, but I'm not sure they are going to do that with this special edition. You do get a nice little plaque inside the car stating your car is one of 550...whoopie ha ha. Just order a regular non special 550 edition and get the red leather!

This seems to be a marketing ploy.
Point is, while the Diamond White sounds cool (Adding Diamond in there is marketing too), it looks so much similar to the white by looking at the pictures. IMO, it's just a CLS w/AMG kit with a new name and a limited edition disclaimer to flock in buyers.
Break it down on the DW Edition:

A little plate stuck on the woodgrain

Don't get me wrong, the car is beautiful, but to justify spending out that kind of money when I have my Black Beauty? No, I would pass but that's me.

diamond white and audio sys
i heard that with diamont white their is a diff audio system vs regular.i was on mbusa.com earlier but i did not see any specs for that.can someone tell me whats the diff in ordering diamont white in terms of audio sys.
