i just saw a picture of 2010 cls on AUTOSPIES.COM.they say that the car will be redesigned next year along with the e class.but as far as German cars, they get redesigned every 7 years.and cls has been in the market since 2006and the 2009 model just got refreshed.And 2010 seems so early for this car to be totally redesigned.

Not gonna happen, prob a photochop. MB won't facelift a car a year before new body will come out. I would guess 2011-2012

CLS is based on the E class, which is getting a complete redesign.

Big misconception on both counts; CLS isn't getting redisgned and the all new E-class has been moved to 2011 model year.

The new Automobile has an entire article about the 2010 CLS, all new. They had a drawing and it looked fantastic. I can only hope the car looks that good.

The New Cls wont be availaible in the USA until late 2012 as a 2013 model. Remember the first Cls was first made in 2004 but came to Usa as a2006 Model. So add 7 years to that and you get 2013. The current Cls fits in perfectly with all of its current contempraries like the Bmw 3 and 6 series and beats them in looks. And the unique front half fenders like that of The Bently. The current Cls will go down as one of the most beautiful mercedes Ever created. So do I like this future Cls. No I like the current one. But give me five years to get tired of the current one and get used to the future one. Five years is along time..... The Bmw cs concept is awesome. But its just a concept. the real thing may dissapoint. It may look like streched 6 series and thats got no class on the cls. Word is Maybach is gonna make a Cls like car now thats Tribute. Bottom Line Cls will be in play for the next 5 years. I expect some beefy spoilered out version towards the final years of production in the form of Black series Cls.

E-Class info is false. Its a 2010 car. 2009 is the final year for the W211. Time to wave good bye.

Well, according to MBZ the new E-class will hit dealerships in Sept of 2010. Since I work for a dealership and was told this by the MBZ corporate trainer for new models I tend to believe them.

That's what I hear. According to a recent New York Times interview:

"Mr. Wagener, who is now vice president for design for Mercedes-Benz cars, has been with the company 11 years.

He put his mark on production cars, most notably the acclaimed CLS four-door coupe.

“We created a new segment with the CLS,” he said. “Our competition is following us into that segment.

To maintain our design leadership we have made a significant jump in the successor to the CLS.”

That car will not appear for at least two years. "


However, they may not want to wait that long.

My local dealer (New Country Motors) sells about 1500 cars a year. They have sold only FOUR CLS cars this year. They won't even stock them; they are ordered only.

I had also heard that the 09's are already selling under invoice, and half the holdback.
