So I just bought a new 2009 CLS 550. Already had my first issue. Parked the car and went to start the vehicle when the message board said to place the shifter in the "P" or "N" position. The car was already in the Park position. No matter what I did, it would not allow me to shift out of park. So I took the key out, locked the doors and walked away for 10 minutes. Came back and it worked. Already did this two times. I took to the dealer today, will see what they say. They did give me a new car to drive until they can see what the issue is.

Anyone have any input in what they think it is. The MB tech thinks it has to do with a faulty shifter module?

Mention DTB S-B-27.00/109 NOV08 the software and hardware may not be optimally matched - applicable to all MY09 models equipped with 722.9 transmissions fitted with valve body A2202702306 & A2202702406.

Thanks for the feedback. I will bring this up tomorrow when I see them. There closed on the weekends. Do you know if there were other issues concerning the tranny's on MY 09 CLS 550's?
