Best tyres for CLS500 with AMG alloys?
I've just bought myself a 3 year old CLS 500 with AMG alloys - currently with Bridgestone Potenza. The rears are needing replacing soon - 285/30ZR19 - so I'd really appreciate any guideance on which tyres are best. On my previous car (not a Merc) I replaced the Bridgestones with Dunlop SP Sport which was much better. But each car is different. Any guidance on your experiences would be really appreciated.
Cheers

depends on a lot of things... mainly what u want out of a tire. Performance? comfort? noise? etc. Also where u live and how you drive is important to know too. I would recommend a summer tire for the CLS since it is so big and heavy. I say michelin PS2

Thanks for the replies. I am looking for something that hugs well when throwing it around the corners every now and then (I'm not far from the countryside) but I don't want them as soft as Pirelli P Zeros or I'll be needing more by Christmas. I had an RX8 before and there were many different views on tyres because you could feel the difference quite easily. I expect it's different becaue of the weight of the CLS though.
