Any known problems on the 2007 CLS 550 coupe?
Hey guys, is there any known problems on the 2007 CLS 550 I should know about so I can get it taken care of before my warranty runs out? Thanks in advance!

hey Kar don - thanks so much! So thats it right? The airmatic, and the 7G (is this the transmission you are referring to?) Is that it? I was thinking about paying $2400 for an even more extended 2 year warranty for the car, since I'm getting about 20 months from the factory as it it is, I would be paying for another 24 months after the 20 I get, almost 4 years. Is this worth it? I can only add it now when I'm picking up the car. I also have the P2 Amg sportline, Parktronic as well.

I personally WOULD get the extended warranty. Is it MB CPO or aftermarket? If MB CPO I would def do it, otherwise avoid it.
The airmatic system will fail down the road and will cost a lot of money. The Air struts typically last around 75-100k miles and cost about 1600 bux each from the dealer. You can cheap out and buy the Arnott remanufactured air shocks but personally I don't trust their "redesigned" shock internals.
Also I've had issues where I had to replace my COMAND unit, Tele-aid unit, iPod integration, etc... electronics aren't the best.
That said, extended warranty all the way.
