i like silver in pictures, but in person i like black. the ligher colors show the sleek lines better in pictures. But in person i think the black looks great. of course... i could be a little biased (guess what color my car is.)

with great fury.

Yeah, that's what I've been noticing... and that's usually the rule of thumb -- black doesn't show the lines of the car. From experience I know the 3 series BMW looks like a blob sitting on wheels when black, and every other color the creases are so pronounced and it's really a beautiful and dynamic design, especially TiAg (Our e90Post.com talk for Titanium Silver).
I couldn't possibly fathom what color you car is...

2007 CLS 550 and some other MBZ
Pretty simple solution... Just go to the dealer and look at them side by side. That's what I did when I was deciding what color looked best (I picked black). Go to a big dealer like Fletcher J. and they usually have loads of different color combo and even cars with mods for you to look at.

Man o' man..i lovedddd that color on my e-class. I think it had metallic flakes in the paint thats why it sparked better than the flat black benzs. What I learned tho is that darker colored cars are better on the west coast were you do not have to worry about too much weather damage and ROCKCHIPS from the damn roads
. If you do not know what rockchips are..its basically pieces of the road being kicked by cars in front of you as you are driving causing a whole bunch of "buckshot" paint chips in your front bumper. And it's nothing you can do about it
. In that case white is best color, because it hides these issues pretty good.

CLS
I really like white. Couldn't find one with dark interior though. My Escalade has cashmere/tan interior and the carpet gets dirty so quick.
I think if I coulod have found a silver car that had 100% original paint I would have bought one. It's really difficult to match that metallic silver paint and I can spot a resprayed door a mile away.
Happy with black but there are less options with what wheels work on a black car.

Really any color CLS is great, it is how you look at them. I get geeked up when I pull up next to a CLS on the road.....my wife always says "stop lookin so hard at them, they are gettin nervous"

New to the board. Salutations gentlemen.
I just took delivery of a Desert Silver Metallic....doesn't show dirt + captures the lines of the car = awesome
HOWEVER...nothing gets more respect than a Black Benz

2006 CLS 500
When I first bought my CLS, I use to look at every MBZ I saw to see if it was a CLS500 because they look amazing, I really couldn't imagine that I was driving one, and with Modulare rims and tint, mine was the one they generally were lookin to see. stoked

At least in LA, Silver always seems to look clean. Does well at hidinig the continues layer of smog silt that builds up on your car.

Thanks Plan B, I indeed get a lot of compliments on the colour, then the car!!!
Easy to keep clean. even when dirty, looks clean. more time to drive, less to clean!
