Wheel Offset question, 20x9 20x11, help me out gurus
Hey guys, so My brother just got a CLS500, I know Its not new or anything, but he is a firm believer in used cars and he waits for them to depreciate. I call him cheap haha, but the car is super nice. Now I have convinced him to get wheels, but he is a bit of a specs guy. He told me if he is going to get wheels, he doesnt want to just settle for decent fitment, he wants it real flush. He says a little aggressive is fine, but def doesnt want it tucking.
I did some research, and searching on the forums, but their isnt much offset info. I saw the Mandrus off discount tire does a 20x9 +22 20x11 +28 setup, and they only build for mercedes from what I hear. Help me out guys, the car is stock, he plans a drop and MAYBE a lip. No aftermarket brakes or anything. Oh and I envy you all haha.

I am too, I have been searching the forum consistently, but its kind of confusing. I see some people running the sizes I said, but with offsets in the high +30's. I gotta tell you though, the cars that are on here are gorgeous. I have found maybe one car that to me personally wasnt nice, but besides that people have some serious taste.

I would second the request for more information. Other than getting under the car with a straight edge and ruler, some real world advice would be apprecaited. Some of the cars in the Vossen shoots are pretty well set up and perhaps some insight from those guys would give us the answers we seek. Well, guys?

I've been told offsets are industry secret and a lot of wheel shops and custom forgers will not give the details, even to customers, because they will lose business. I'm not sure why, but I would imagine once a shop finds a good fit, they don't want the competition to jack it, not so much the customer. Anyone else have a good CLS550 (mine's a 2008) fit ?

Not only do they sit perfectly inside the wheel-well, the concave face gives them and extra wide look. I think I'm just gonna have to bite the bullet on these haha.

These are Zauber Gettin wheels that have been refinished they are 9x19 and 10 x19 with 255x35 and 305x25 Pirelli tires the tires are new. I have them for sale for $2000

I have a Brand new set of HRE 943 R s3 piece in 20 by 9 n 20 by 11 for sale they were built for CLS / SL.......4000 new... Also have a set of used GFG 3 piece with tires...20 by 9 n 20 by 11 with 255/30/20 n 305/25/20 Conti 2.....for 2500.....let me know all hardware included.......
