Use my iphone as Telephone
Hi everyone,
I'm the new owner of a CLS 550 '08 and I'm looking for some information on possibilities to use my iphone 3gs as the telephone through the COMAND unit.
Is this possible and if so would I be required to buy new cradle?
Looking forward to see the answers from my new friends in the MB forum
best regards

Blue-tooth module
oki... so no responses lol I've now ordered a MB BT module to plug into the phone connector so I guess we'll see how that works once I pair it up.

Used
I've got it only from a store. It was used but great condition and it works great with the iphone. I've not tested all features in the COMAND unit like Voice command etc but looking up contacts in the phone, browsing recent called etc is very easy.
Took 2 min to plug in and pair up the phone.

I'm looking at buying a 2008 CLS63AMG and was wondering the same thing. So MB does not make a 'cradle' for and iphone? Can you provide a link where I can find more info on this bluetooth solution you are using? Does it allow for full use of in car phone features?
Thanks!

Hi,
I didn't engage MB for an adapter but found this place
http://www.ecrater.com/p/8543117/mer...th-module-but#
it is kinda big but fits the cradle in the center console / armrest and it works well with the COMAND system. I haven't tested Voice look up etc since I don't talk that much on the phone. Nobody I've talked to while driving 80+ mph have ever complained about noise / static on any call.
hope that was a little help.

If the car is not pre-equipped with MHI, there are other solutions available too. There is a quick question answer guide on our site to help MB owners determine what they have and what they may need. Cartronics.com
