Service lesson for the day...
Okay, here goes:
I went over to a MB dealer close by me Mercedes South, they sent coupons for services, etc. I was able to use the coupon for my Service A ($169) and Brake Flush ($224, SBC). Okay, cool those services were done. I asked about getting the transmission service done, and I am quoted $550. Red flag, I called two other dealers, Buckhead Mercedes and RBM Sandy Springs: $291. Same service exactly, but over $200 difference. Mercedes South refused to come down, tells me they have $300 tied up in parts on the transmission service. HUGE red flag:
Tran filter: $35
Seal: $15
MB 722 Fluid: $120-$130
So, we have approx. $160-170 in parts. $300 in parts? So labor is $380? Right...![rolf](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/rofl.gif)

I say no to the SA, head over to other dealer and the transmission service is being wrapped up now, $291. Moral of the day, and how I live, do the research and shop around. I kind of felt bad for all the folks being screwed at that dealership. Apparently, after talking with a few people they realize the overcharge as well..

You also got hosed on the brake flush. My Newport Beach, CA Mercedes Dealer (Fletcher Jones) only charges $116 for a brake flush with SBC. You paid almost double.
I hope you got a car wash, cup of coffee, bottle of water and shuttle ride at least.

The only thing I would those jerk-offs at Mercedes South do is the service A/B when they send coupons. Outside of that, RBM, and Buckhead Mercedes are they only two places I would recommend anyone in Atlanta to go to. Oh, and two good indy shops.
BTW- I am putting Mercedes South on blast by the way. Facebook, twitter, etc.

When it's out of warranty: reputable independent MB specialist. Those big, beautiful dealerships with complimentary shuttle service, free wifi, refreshments, leather chairs, marble floors and lots of staff aren't free.
