2009 Exhaust Differences
In my quest for a pre-owned CLS, I have noticed a few 2009's that had oval exhaust pipes. The 2009 brochure touts this model as having "Dual squared chrome exhaust tips". Are these cars that I am looking at early production models that may have been using left over '08 parts? Or is there a variation that would still use the older style? The AMG sport line option does not seem to indicate that it would be using anything different as I have seen pictures showing the squared pipes. Thanks for your help.

squared dual is 2011......................non AMG s 09 10 have a trapzoid style 060708 have oval.....real AMG 55/63 will have dual Ovals...

Can you help me out here. I've shown you a picture of a 2009 car with oval exhaust and shown you a copy of the brochure stating that the 2009 came with "Dual squared chrome exhaust tips". Maybe they're trapezoidal instead of "squared" (MB's words not mine). The point is, either way, how do oval pipes get on a 2009 car? Is this common?

r u looking to get the Trapzoid looking tip cause it flows with the NoN AMG bumper better.... its designed with that shape.....

Actually all I was trying to do was understand the difference. I really had no preference one way or another on the style of the exhaust. I am leaning towards the AMG "sportline" for the added options. Now I see that the AMG "sport package" comes with the oval tips and is an easy way to quickly identify which model I am looking at.
