CLS 550 price range
Hi all
I soon hope to join The super CLS MB club. I am planning to buy a 2007-2008 Cls550 with hopefully less than 40k miles and as close to fully loaded as possible with a budget cap of $45k that I have placed on myself. I am based in Atlanta, A. I have spent the past 2 weeks pretty much going through every thread and most discussions have reaffirmed my decision to buy the CLS. the joy every driver has expressed and pretty good reliability.
What I also saw were many scattered references to the price everyone paid for their CLS when they got it.
So I am hoping to get your help to collect some info on what price you got your CLS. I really hope you guys help me in making a informed decision and still save myself some $$.
Year & Model -
Original price quoted -
Price you eventually negotiated and bought at -
Mileage when bought -
Options -
CPO or not -
City -
A few minutes of your time will really help me out. If I have started a repeated thread then please let me know about the original thread. Thanks all!

One month ago I bought a 2007 CLS550 with the P2 package and electronic trunk closer (I think those are all the options) with 23,000 miles in perfect condition for $36,800 from a BMW dealer in Florida (not a CPO). With $45,000 to spend, you should be able to get an ultra-low mileage, perfect 2008 (or a nice 2009) with all options, including AMG sport package. Hope this helps. Good luck with your search.

Thanks buddy for getting the ball rolling in this thread. I hope the rest join in soon.
However in an around my area in Atlanta I am seeing listed prices between 45-50k for 2008 and 2009 around 30k miles and more with most options included though(not the AMG package). I haven't seen anything listed at the price you mentioned for the specs you mentioned. I am stil looking and keeping my fingers crossed.

2008 cls with p2, 16k miles, perfect condition
I bought mine for 41k 6 weeks ago on Ebay. This is 4th vehicle I have purchased on Ebay all with great results. If you are nervous about Ebay at least use them to check the prices you are being offered elsewhere. You will probably get a better deal from a private party than from a dealer.
Mine still had 18 months on the warranty, I went to my local dealer after the purchase and bought the extended warranty for no reason other than peace of mind. You can bargain with most dealers on the price of the warranty.
If you can get a good 2009 in your price range I would go for that because of the upgraded COMAND system which has better features, plus you also get the additional time on the warranty since the car is newer.
I did my homework before I made the move. I love the car and think I got it for a good price.

I bought mine over ebay too. The sellers on ebay typically offer far more and better photos of their vehicles than you will find on autotrader.com or cars.com, and I like having the ability to make instant low-ball offers without having to go through the hassle of dealing with a car salesman and his/her manager. If you're dealing with a reputable dealer on ebay (and there are tons of reputable dealers using ebay), I think your risk of getting screwed should be minimal.

I bought it from BMW of Pompano, FL, and I live in Chapel Hill, NC. I had it shipped up to me. Shipping was only $400. So, I bought it sight-unseen. Maybe a bit risky, but I was happy with the car when it showed up. Of course, there are any number of different ways you can buy a car over ebay. You can pay for an independent inspection, you can fly out and drive it home, you can fly out to see it if it is out of your area and fly back and have it shipped, or you can do what I did and just rely on the photos (and my excellent detailer) and take a chance.

Are you still looking for a CLS? I have a loaded 07 CLS 550 with about 12500 miles that I am thinking about selling. The only thing wrong is that I can't make up my mind if I want to sell it or not. Pics are attached...

Sure will. Closed the deal on a 2009 with 27k miles, trim package, premium package and parktronic. Got it for $47k with factory warranty uptill 06/12. It's Capri blue with cashmere interior. I should have the car in the next 10 days. It has to be shipped from Texas.

Lol! Well arguments could go back and forth. One reason I said its the best is because its so rare. I search CLS 550 across the country and i think found 2 on sale in this color. TO be honest i was loooking for a black on tan but I am glad I decided to go with this.
But hey I have seen Indium/black too cant say that it wasnt beautiful

My CLS and R are both Ebay buys, one from Dallas, the other Chicago purchases.

Congrats! If you plan on keeping it for a while, consider an extended warranty. I can get you a quote if you shoot me your VIN# and current odometer reading to brucem105@comcast.net
I know you have some warranty left, but prices are always best, and terms longest, when car is youngest with least miles.

I can't send the info through the MBWorld PM system or post here; have to do it via email.
