how do i activate my bluetooth for a 2007 cls550? Do I need a puck for the bluetooth module? If so, where can I get it for a reasonable price and installation?

Make sure your car is wired for bluetooth. If it has the connector in the center console all you need is the BT puck. Got mine here for $200: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Merce...fAudioQ5fVideo
Brand new, just as advertised.
if I buy the puck do can I hook it up myself? also will that puck work with the very newest phones because I'm about to get the new iphone5 this summer so will it be useless to get that puck on ebay or does it adapt with the iphone 5 as well?

I assume the site is also intended to sell them your product, I was just offering an alternative. I have no connection to the ebay seller other than having made a purchase from them.

Yes, the puck is plug and play. It works with my blackberry bold but I have no idea if it works a phone that has yet to be released such as the iphone5. According to their website, the cartronics version can be updated via your computer and may be a better bet for being compatible with future phones.

Are you suggesting I should not have offered advice or an alternative product because you are a sponsor? Wow. Sorry. I don't post here often and didn't know that was the rule.

Not a rule at all... I was just unsure of the tone of your post, as the way you worded it made it sound like something was wrong with the fact that the site that helps people understand what they need, also sells what they may need. Your quote "I assume the site is also intended to sell them your product, I was just offering an alternative." does not sound all that positive. If I took it wrong, I apologize. We welcome alternatives, as sometimes even we learn something. However, we spend A LOT of time correcting bad information about the cars and the systems in them. I am a Mercedes Systems Engineer, and we are good at what we do, and like to set the record straight. Because if owners start thinking fact A is true, when really fact B is true - it can make everyones life miserable as bad information gets passed from owner to owner. One of the BIG problems that we are hired by 192 Mercedes dealerships (at last weeks count) to fix... is the Mercedes branded puck s**ks from a compatibility and support standpoint. For many they do not work all that well, and are a support nightmare for the dealerships. They hire us to solve that problem.
I am very happy for those that it does work for. We simply want to give good information, and do what we can to support the enthusiasts. It has made us the largest MB electronics company in North America. We are proud of it. I hope you don't find that offensive.

No offense taken and I agree about the MB puck. But if you read my post directly before yours I said "According to their website, the cartronics version can be updated via your computer and may be a better bet for being compatible with future phones." And then you snapped at me with the "sponsor" remark. It surprised me a little.
