New to the site

Just wanted to introduce myself. A buddy of mine has used this site a few times for information when it came to changing brakes and such on his C Class. Coming to find myself to do the same. Own a 2006 CLS500 lowered on IWC 19" wheels, nothing special.

Here are some pictures

That is too low. Don't you scrape on speed humps? Don't the wheels rub?

There should be an even gap around the wheel and fender.

That is a first I usually raise the suspension when in area's that have "objects" in the road Wheels don't rub as I had a friend roll the fenders. I actually put 22mm spacers in the rear and 14mm in the front to push them out more.

Thank you! A friend had it lowered at a shop he usually goes to that modifies Mercedes Benz's. If I remember correctly he adjusted the sensors

I looked in my manual, but it says nothing about this. And, I called "they" but couldn't get an answer. Says who?

For real? So all you need to do is adjust the air suspension? I love the slammed look and the rims actually go well with your whip!!

I'm thinking about getting 20" but the roads where I live are horrible so still havent decided which route to take because I have to replace one of my warped rim....

I'm not exactly sure how or what he did to lower it. I'll get the shops information from my buddy and forward it to you. I know he works on nothing but BMWs and Mercedes.

Thanks for the compliment, I like the look would love to have 3 piece wheels on the car but I drive every day and put a lot of miles on my cars. So I need the durability as well and well the OEM wheels give that and make me comfortable when it comes to driving.

Sez me. The lines of the car should be symmetrical. There should not be an uneven gap around the wheel.

I guess it's because I'm not Mexican...

The picture may be decieving but there is not an un-even gap around the wheel. I'm not exactly sure what your obsession is with the gap in my wheel wells but its very interesting to say the least

As far as your comment regarding whether or not your Mexican I would say is uncalled for and rude in fact pretty idiotic. If you're wondering if that was a direct comment to call you an idiot, I would say yes it was. I would like to see you say that to someones face, even mine considering I'm not of Hispanic descent.

Whell, I decline to insult you. Let's just call it a "cultural difference", hm?

But be advised that only from SoCal and FL has anyone at all asked about lowering, LOL.

+1. Uneven gap. WTF. I guess he likes 4x4. I love the amount of lowering. Just perfect sitting right on the edge of the fender.
