Bleeding Brakes!!

Bleeding Brakes!!
Hi all,
First time on the site so bare with me.. I have a 2010 CLS350 W219 and at the weekend fitted new ventilated rotors and pads, recognising the dangers of the SBC system I made sure that the doors were locked etc.
Fitting went ok, however I had to remove the rear callipers, which meant re bleeding the system.
I have a pressure bleed system that connects to the reservoir, so thought it would be a doddle!
However, I can`t seem to get the peddle to go hard!! It sinks about an inch or two and is very spongy!!
I suspect that my little knowledge hasn’t gone a long way!!! So after some head scratching
my suspicions focust on the SBC it`s self, and after a bit of surfing, I came up with the cunning plan of disconnecting the SBC and re bleeding the system again , yes, you guessed it no different...
I understand that you can get an SBC resetting diagnostic tool, have any of you had the problem or can give me some idea!
