Blacking out headlight housings matte or gloss??
Im blacking out my headlight housings debating on matte or gloss finish??

On a white car, matte black looks nice. On a black car, matte looks grey. Semi-gloss or satin for black vehicles. Just my opinion.

Did you do them yourself or have a shop do them? If shop, how much did they charge if you don't mind my asking? I'm considering doing this myself. Had a dream about it, actually, before I even knew anyone had done it. Just not a fan of any plastic-looking chrome on my car.

Looks.great. what kind of paint did you use ?
I wouldn't go to thick with paint. Very high heat and the plastic will move (flex) causing some visual cracking. being black also will absorb the suns heat at this point too causing additional heat on top of the Hid bulb.
You beat me to it. It's hard for me to stick 1000 headlights in the oven.
