W219 Stereo Questions
Hi guys,
I have an 09 CLS550. I'm led to believe by searching that the E class from the same year is very similar as far as audio goes, but I still have some questions. If you have any input on any of these I'd appreciate it.
1) I have the harmon kardon setup. Will this affect my ability to install a different head unit? Will I have to bypass the factory amp?
2) Anyone have experience with the Metra Axxess steering wheel control adaptor? (This: Amazon.com: Metra Axxess ASWC Universal Steering Wheel Control Interface (Black): Car Electronics). I can't find any reviews involving Mercedes.
3) Is there anything else I should know? Any surprises anyone has run into?

I want to change my stock Comand as well. cmusngi did it in his CLS. He has Harmon Kardon stock system since these are standard on CLS55. I believe he did the install all himself so you might wanna ask him. Check out his thread...
