Quick VR-4

I introduced myself not too long ago after wrecking my Lexus and purchased an 06 CLS500. I originally set out to buy black (favorite car color), but pulled the trigger on white because I needed a car and could not wait around. Now the opportunity is presenting itself to get a black CLS. My brother is the car buyer for a large dealership and purchased an 07 CLS550 Black on Black that I can trade for with a little cash on top. Besides me getting my color of choice, is there a lot of benefits in owning an 07 over the 06 other than the 5.5 liter V8?

assuming you have considered the mileage difference, the only major change i know of is the bigger engine with more hp and torque. i believe the rest of the changes were cosmetic and some changes to the COMAND system as well.
the major difference was from 2007-08 going to 2009. lots of changes all for the good which made me decide to go for a 2009.

Get it just for the engine and the color you love! The engine difference is AMAZING!!!

Appreciate the opinions guys. I have not closed the book on it, but I would probably have to come up with around $2,000 extra which at this time is not worth it. I love black, but the white is not too bad now that I have had it. I would love to see the difference in the 5.0 to 5.5, but not worth the extra right now. I canceled going to look at it because I do not trust myself

I,personally,prefer white over black and silver.
Unfortunately mine is some kind of champagne color,but i like it anyways

Tons of consumer complaints about engine troubles with the 500, hence part of the reason for MBs quick move to the 550. Google it.
For 2k and the added hp, it's a no-brained IMHO

Black is nice when its clean, but sunny days u can see swirl marks. Major turn off.
