Cruise Control Issue - Anyone had the same?
Was wondering if anyone has had an issue with their cruise control while set around 65/70 mph. The vehicle will do a slight speed increase then decrease. This just started and is noticeable but not drastic. This is on a 2009 CLS 550 70k miles with cruise (P1 pkg). Any thoughts out there? Has anyone experienced the same? If so, what was the issue.

Does it do that on a straight flat highway/freeway because mine does it on hills and going downhill. The car is adjusting itself to the momentum.
But I dont think you should worry too much. if you dont like it just dont use the cruise control.

It does it on the flat roads and never did that before, its more of an annoyance right now. The next time I am at the MB shop I will have them look into the matter.

Reply to an older thread, but may help. I have the same issue with my 2005 CLS 350 and finally a Master Tech at my local dealership agrees a problem exists. To sort, they first tried a software update of the transmission control unit, and have now decided the transmission control unit needs to be replaced. The unit is on order and should be here next week. They are hopeful that the replacement will solve the contant surge and slow when using cruise control.
