very strange problem with lights
hey guys!
I am having a very weird issue with my 2006 cls500.
I upgraded all the interior lights to AZN LEDS with no problems. however the interior on the trunk (using the same size 38mm festoon) turns on then shuts off, 5 second pause and it turns off then shuts off again, and just repeats.When I put the stock one back in, it works perfectly? The same thing happens to my reverse light. The reverse light is soldered in, so I removed it and soldered in a new light. it works perfectly when its plugged into external power, however when I put it back into the cars electronics it does the same thing. On, then off for 5 seconds, then on again.
does any one have any idea what is going on? I tried turning off the car, taking the key in and out, switching to on and off position multiple times, still nothing. any help would be very appreciated.

I would also like to add that the AZN OPTICS LEDs are great. zero flicker and are very bright. I replaced virtually every bulb in the car with them. this is not an issue with the bulbs because I tried different leds which I know work and still nothing.

I have similar problem with HID kit for headlights.
At first, we wired to test........Everything was plg-n-play lighted up perfectly at first with engine off.
So my mechanic decided to install everything. We then tested again... Perfect!!! Nice and bright. "High Five, low five" etc....
Started up the car, pulled out of the shop, parked on the side... Paid the bill..!!!
Back in the car, turned on the lights, NOTHING turned on but my corner and city lights.
Shut the car off, turned the lights off, turned them back on with engine OFF lights worked again. Found out, my cls500 didn't have constant power as 12+ volts when engine is running. This applies to headlights according to MB master mechanic I spoke with. When engine runs, the headlights wires are dropped to 8.1 to 8.4 volts since factory set them when built for Halogen lights ONLY. My car is getting DeCoding for xenon at next oil change. Any luck with replacing the reverse/back-up bulbs to LEDs that do not turn on and off while the car is in reverse? I have the same issue on a 2009 CLS. I bought a pair of CANBUS error-free 921 LED bulbs and they do exactly what you described.
