Brrrr it's cold
Well, this morning in Georgia, I had the pleasure of driving to the train station in 5 degree F weather. I've had my 2006 CLS500 for about 2 weeks now, so I was a little alarmed when I got a big red alert upon starting my car that said "VISIT WORKSHOP". Everything seemed to work okay. Is it really bad to drive in this weather, or is this a common thing?

well what was the visit workshop for?
i drove my car in 2 degrees this am, and there were no errors. obviously things like power steering, airmatic etc, will not be as responsive when the car is that cold.

Yes it did have a picture of a battery. Thanks for the response, that's good to hear. You think it's because I need a new aux battery, or does the cold just do that?

While I miss my CLS, the CLA is pretty nice. The interior feels like a Mercedes and road noise is so much quieter than other rentals I've had here. That little 4-banger can squeal the tires when needed. The AMG CLA would be truly scary.
Glad it is warming up, and just get a new battery, yours is living on borrowed time.
