CLS Mileage check-in!!

Just interested in how miles your cls 500/550/55/63 has and what major issues you have had...i wonder if anyone has rolled past the elusive 100k .

model: CLS500
purchased at: 39k miles
currently at: 84k miles
issues: nothing major..i did have to get a new volt relay for the battery..a small $200 change but a huge embarrassing one(left me stranded on the highway )

2006 CLS500 - Iridium Silver w/ AMG Sportline
2006 CLS500
Purchased at: 28k
currently at: 32k
Issues: Command crapped out the day I bought it, requiring a 2 hour flash and reinstall of the firmware. A wire bad in the airbag system, causing the car to deactivate the entire system. Right side mirror wouldn't return after automatically tilting when put in reverse. Trim around the rear seat tracks disintegrated and need to be replace. Cracked in the plastic trim on the inside of the trunklid that needed to be replaced. LED 3rd brakelight was sending a funky signal, causing the system to read a 3rd brake light error. 3rd brakelight replaced under warranty. And damn, you have to remove the entire backseat to get to it!

2007 CLS63
1 year of original warranty remained at time of purchase, plus CPO'd for an additional year.
Purchased at 24,000 miles
Currently 35,000 miles

Transmission replaced under warranty. 3-4 weeks at the dealer, but I had a nice loaner. Service advisor said it would've been a $10k+ repair if it wasn't under warranty. Other than that, I had a speed sensor error and a airbag light come on...but those were both $5 faulty sensors. At this rate, the car should last a while since there will be all new parts in it. All kidding aside, the car has been reliable so far. The transmission was something that I'd guess 95% of normal car drivers wouldn't even notice, but I was persistent and after A LOT of troubleshooting MBUSA authorized the repair.

2006 CLS 500
2006 CLS500
Picked it up this weekend with 76,000KM

According to the service history, brakes and a few sensors were replaced all under warranty. Nothing major.

However looks like my driver side front rim is warped.

Other then that I am extreamly happy with the purchase.

CLS63 Designo Edition, Hyundai Genesis 3.8 , Veloster Turbo, CLS500(Sold), E320 (SMOKED) R500 (Sold)
2006 CLS 500

Purchased around 28K, about 84K on her now. After three years, car has been rather rock solid. Only a fresh air pump needed a replacement, and cup holder. Loving the experience.

in your Mom's car
Purchased: 15.5k
Current: 70k
Issues: I've had the car for 3 1/2 years now. No major issues so far. Replaced the chipped chrome cup holder. Something was loose in the engine bay and the dealer had to order a part so it stayed overnight and I got a loaner. Fixed under warranty. Other than that it's just normal maintenance. I'm due for a service now and I've been hearing a clunking/squeaking in my front left suspension. Don't even want to know what it is or what it's going to cost.

Wow I'm surprised..that's crazy. I been really thinking about selling my car and upgrading to a low mileage 09/10 CLS550 before my current CLS hits 90k...all of these major issues are pushing me to do it even further lol.

I doubt it. I don't know what you would want to do that for unless you are trying to scam someone. IF there WAS a way to do it, I'm sure it would be with STAR.

To update my post: It was what I thought. Bad lower control arm. They are going to replace both of them. $850 for parts and labor.

155k on my 06 cls 500

Transmission went out at 142. I'm the 2nd owner but I have the complete dealer service history of the car and it has been pretty much problem free until the transmission went out.

Yeah they told me I need to replace both of my ball joints down the road as well. $500 parts and labor for that.

^man, I have bud luck. Recently had some terrible squeaking..horridly annoying..turned out to be a ball joint on front passenger side(20's def. contribute). Around the same time, the squeaking started an ESP malfunction popped up. I assumed it was the same thing that was squeaking...unfortunately it was the steering angle sensor. Both repairs ran $500-600 a piece. Not bad. I was thinking a muchh higher number lol.
