glow plug warning light

glow plug warning light
Hi the "glow plug" warning light on my dashboard used to go off after
the usual couple of seconds, now it stays on for . 1 minute
before going out? this does not affect the starting or performance ect
but have been told it could be a weak glow plug or something to do
with a sensor on the exhaust, I am not too adverse fitting a new set
of glow plugs if this cures the small problem, anybody got an answer.

Had a similar problem with a Citroen Xantia many years ago, needed a new set of glow plugs. Solved the problem. Mind you in those days everything was not loaded with sensors and electronics.
