2007 vs 2009
I am currently car shopping and have driven an 08 and 09 CLS550. Not looking to rush into the purchase, but have located an 07 that is priced right and only has 48k miles.
Haven't driven the 07 yet. It's about 3hrs away and wonder if anyone can tell me if the ride should be similar to the 08. It's my understanding that the 09 model year had some suspension improvements. Is that correct?
Thanks in advance!
Remember, the 06 cls500 was the model that was very different from the 07-11 models. The 06 model was different because it used a different brake system (i think) and the engine was smaller. 07-08 models are pretty much the same. 09-11 were facelifted and 10-11 had the amg sport package as standard equipment.
I'm pretty sure about these things since I was car shopping for my CLS a few months ago but I just wrote them down from memory so do additional research. I found edmunds.com really helpful because when you find a specific year for a model like the CLS550 they tell you what's new about that car for that specific year.
Do you know the difference in the braking systems?
Also, a very useful site that I like is consumerguide.com. You can search any make and model.
