W219 W211 rear shocks
Hello everybody.
My fathers CLS 219 has leaking rear shocks, my questions is this:
Does the rear shocks from the W211 fit the W219?
Original number for the 219 is: A2193260300 and A2193260400
Original number for the 211 is: A2113262800

Not that easy. W211's came with multiple codes for the suspension; 482, 485, 486, 489, 950, 951, 952. Some use Semi-Active Suspension (code 489), others use "dumb" shocks. You're going to have to use your VIN to find the correct shock, then cross-reference the part number to see if it was used on any of the W211s....
So, first question is "Does your father's CLS have Code 489 Semi-Active Air Suspension"? You might save significant time just calling ECS Tuning or Pelican Parts, providing your father's VIN, and ordering the correct shocks rather than playing hit or miss with the part number.
