The car is CLS 350 cdi grand edition (2010)(88k miles) The brake pedal gets hard and difficult to stop the car but only when pulling away or in stop/start occasionally( like McDonalds) real pressure needed to bring the car to halt. And then it goes all right for 2weeks. Halfords garage told me we can't bleed your brake fluid your brakes are rock hard you need to change vacuum pump. So I took the car to my garage who I trust. They said the vaccum pump is new. The vaccum line looks good. Take it to the dealer. There is no hissing noise under the pedal brake. As well when my foot is on brake and I start the car the brake pedal softens thinking the booster is ok? When I disconnect the vaccum line from the pump and put my finger very little sucking of vaccum is that normal? Has anyone had this problem please HELP! Thank you
