I am working my way through the brochures, trying to see if in the years 2011, 12 and 13 there is a compelling reason to buy or not buy in a particular year.

Also just starting to use this resource, seemingly like you. Are you able to share anything that you have come up with?

Respectfully,
John

Joe,

Thank you.

Is that a good reason to opt for the 2012 vs the 2011?

Respectfully,
John

The extra power for me is a no-brainer, but not everybody cares as much as I do. The switch from a naturally aspirated engine to twin-turbo made the car much more powerful.

Thank you, Joe. That's what I want to know . . . the 2012 model year has almost depreciated into my price range.

On a different subject, are you able to say if the iPhone compatibility is pretty much what it would be in a very new model year?

I don't have an iPhone personally.

What I do see, as a tech there, is almost all of our phone/Bluetooth issues are with iPhone users. It's some sort of software issue that pops up for some people, and usually updating to the newest vehicle software doesn't change anything for us. I feel like it's an apple side issue, but it doesn't affect everybody.

There is a bit of a difference in car tech from 2012 (software designed in ~2008 probably) and today's phone tech, which is updated constantly. It usually works pretty well though, if you're reasonable.

Joe,

I can't thank you enough for your time answering my questions. I am a techie, always want the latest toys and am tolerant that sometimes it causes issues. 2012 will stretch my budget so I'll be pleased with what I get. Primarily was hoping that a 2012 model year would give me essentially up to date gadgetry. Also I have an OUTSTANDING dealer here in Bellevue with a service manager who I feel treats me like his brother.

Again, thank you.
John
