Splash Shield Center Cover Panelling - Which One?

'06 CLS 500
Splash Shield Center Cover Panelling - Which One?
Hey Guys, need your expertise.
I'm missing the splash shield center cover panelling underneath my car (not sure where it went, who forgot to put it back on, nor when), when I searched for the part, two came up, one says "w/ skid plate" the other says "w/o skid plate", i have a MY06 CLS 500 (not sure if there's a difference between the 500 vs later 550's or AMGs).
How can I tell which one to choose?
How do i know if I have a skid plate?
There's over a $100 difference between the two covers.




#4 - 2115242630 center cover w/o skid plate - $44.25 (parts.com)
#5 - 2115240201 center cover w/ skid plate - $149.85 (parts.com)

Search Craigslist for a parts car. There has to be one even local to you.

95viper i've trolled CL and couldn't find any in my area, i also don't have the time to visit junk yards in my area, they're usually closed by the time i get out of work. Fortunately the id'd one is the significantly cheaper one. i'll keep looking around, if i can't find one i have no choice but to order one.

The part i'm looking for is
#4 - 2115242630 center cover w/o skid plate - $44.25 + shipping

I'm on Long Island - searching generic terms like "mercedes cover" doesn't return much

I don’t know what parts 2,3,7 do but 6 attaches to the splash shield and there are two of them.
