Problems with Xenon Lights

2009 Mercedes CLS 550. Left front low beam light out. HID xenon lights. Replaced bulb and ballast. Still does not work.

Try power cycling the vehicle to reset the SAM?

What do you mean by cycling the vehicle? I have started it and shut it off a couple of times since replacement. Is there another process to reset sam?

It is a HID / Xenon stock system. I am not getting a message on the dash that the light is out like I have in the past. Just before the light failed it fluctuated significantly on off and in brightness.

Any ideas or details on the configuration of this system? Thanks

After you install the new bulb and ballast, crank your engine fully on and off. This will clear all codes and reset your SAM to re-engage power to the socket. Also make sure you got all the right polarity and didn't blow a fuse.

i have tried your recommendation without sucesss. I have not located a fuse that powers this light. Do you know where it is?

Thanks for staying with this. I appreciate your insights. Fuse location is not in the owners manual.
