Drove a c300 loaner, what crap compared to a cls
Hey All,
Having srs repaired at dealer and they gave me a c300 loaner car. Given the rave reviews of the revised c300 model, I always wanted to drive this car.
I have to say, this mercedes is crap. First, although its fast ( reported 0 to 60 of around 6.5 seconds), the engine feels weak. Second, the transmission operation is choppy and anything but smooth. Third, the suspension sucks. Even though there are 17 inch wheels it rides rough. There is even significant body roll around turns.
So although it looks nice, it feels overall cheap. I don't think it is necessarily because of the trim line; I owned a c230 kompressor a few years ago and it was a much better point and shoot car.
Just wanted to let enthusiasts on this forum know, in case you ever thought about looking into the car
I will look forward to getting my w219 back on the road.
