Electrical problem

Hi

I bought a CLS (CLS 320 CDI (219.322) year 2006 engine OM642) that not riding for a long time and after starting it turned out that there was a problem with the electrics.
I have changed new main battery because previous was empty and I realized that:

- direction indicators and emergency lights do not work
- electric seats do not work - central locking does not work
- red alarm battery is on
- strange but the registration backlight is on all the time
- and more

The first thing I thought and what they write on the forums is that the additional battery is a replacement, but interestingly in my model there is NO additional battery.
I checked all the fuses with the meter - they are OK.

HELP

1-- Can you measure the battery voltage with engine stopped as well as with engine running?
I am guessing the charge voltage is not reaching battery...

2-- Are you able to fully charge your battery with a smart charger such as CTEK?

3-- Scan the car for faults with a scanner!!
You won't get lucky swaping parts without reading what the car has to say...

You're going to find out that SAMs are used to switch circuit power.

Could it be a problem with your new battery?

Congratulations ! Enjoy your ownership now 👏

Always glad to help with many other contributors.

NEVER LET YOUR BATTERY GET LOW if conveniently possible. Keyword CTEK or similar ✌️
