AirMatic vs Springs // Operation Checks + Ride Height Difference

I bought a 2006 CLS 500 with AirMatic deleted and springs installed that had Tranny issues after I had the transmission out and made the repair I put it to the road and noticed that when the roads were wet and driving over tar snakes at highway speeds the rear end would wonder all over the place (dangerously) - (inner tire wear also noted). After doing my research it appears that there is no camber adjustment for the rears and I'm looking at ~$450 for a camber kit. It rides like a civic with chopped springs but I like the way it sits so my question is can anyone recommend me to a thread/writeup on checking the system for correct operation with the remainder of the system in place with the springs still installed?

I am considering converting back to Airmatic and would like to identify any potential problems before I start. Also I'm interested to know what if any will be the difference in ride height with the AirMatic vs the H&R 29324 spring kit that is currently installed.
