08 CLS550 air strut suspension failure
I'm looking for advice on what I might of done wrong or what caused the issue I experienced. Recently my front driver side air strut was leaking and needed to be replaced. I replaced it and after I lowered the car and let fill up I moved it and parked it. I noticed the car height was higher oon one side vs the other, so I pushed the raise up button in the middle console. This raised the vehicle all around and when I turned the car off and was going to call it a night, I heard a loud pop (gunshot sound) from the new air strut I installed and not its not holding air. Did the air strut get filled with too much air and pop or I shouldn't have press the raise vehicle button?
