Thinking of coming back to MB
My 750 lease is up soon so I went and test drove a bunch of cars this weekend and really loved the new CLS 450. I don't need a big car anymore so the CLS is a nice step down. The dealer had an edition 1 that I may pull the trigger on but it doesn't come with HUD or the Burmeister 3D sound system. Any thoughts on the difference? I had a S550 with the 3D system and loved it. I do love the color options in the Edition 1 so trying to decide. The AMG 52 is also very tempting so contemplating that as well. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated

Do you appreciate the performance difference of the CLS53 over the CLS450? I drove the 450 and wanted more get up and go.I don't know if anyone on the forums has test driven both but I would love to know their thoughts. I do plan on test driving a CLS 53 soon. I was spoiled by my previous CLS with the V8, and you are coming from a V8 as well. I would suggest you order the vehicle with the options you want, but your lease end is near. The 3D sound is amazing and you will probably miss having it. Have you asked the dealer to do a nationwide search?

HUD availability is limited and hard to get, but there are a number of CLS 53 edition 1's out there, and they all have the HUD. Problem is, they have a lot of options bringing MSRP to almost 103K. If you can work with that price point, i'm sure you can get a dealer trade to have one brought into your area. My dealer offered to do so for a transport fee of 250 bucks.

I drove the 53 and while there is a difference not enough for me to pay the extra cost. The dealer gave me a great deal on a 450 Edition 1 and I took it. The car is missing a couple of things but I can live without. Love the color of the car and the interior so that made the difference for me.

Congrats on the new car! If you don't mind sharing, what kind of great deal did you get? Others have written about their great deals and I am surprised they are to be had so soon on a just released car...

5700 off plus 5200 cash to payout what was left on my lease. I shouldn’t use the word great because I never feel like I get a good deal when buying cars but I ran the numbers shopped it and this was the best I got.
