Special Order CLS 53 AMG
Next Wednesday will be six weeks since my special order was placed by my dealer. I got word the dealer got full allocation and a slot. I’m still waiting for a build date!!
Is this normal? I also finally asked my salesman for an order number to prove it was actually ordered. Still waiting on that.

Yes. Very normal. I am not based in the US, but the Sindelfingen plant was having some production issues (this is heresay - I do not have concrete evidence, other than being told by an employee, but no specifics). I had placed my order in March for July Delivery and it showed up in October (again, not US based, so may differ).

I’m also in San Diego and have yet to see a CLS53. I have seen a few E53 Coupes on dealer lots and there are plenty of white and black CLS 450s. Selenite Grey seems to be scarce though.
