Hello Everyone does anyone know or is anyone selling a single rim my CLS 450 rim cracked in 4 places (pot hole I’m assuming) pretty annoying brand new car as of April. The dealer is the only place that seems to have it all junk yards don’t have any in CA.

 

Dont have them welded it doesnt work. I had mine welded twice and i get 2-3 weeks and back to the same!!

Googled it and prices are from 600-1000 depending on if you want brand new or refurbed.

 

When will MB accept that there is an issue with their larger wheels. I've cracked 2 within 6 months and 4000miles driving. No potholes or other bumps. When I went to see about a repair the welder said 'Not another Mercedes, that's all we get recently"._

 

I owned a 19 CLS53 with 20 in rims. I bent 3 rims and cracked 2. MB paid for the replacement of one rim after I threatened to sue in small claims court. I paid to repair the other cracked rim just before trading the car on the 24 GLE53. I also paid to straighten the three bent rims.
MB have faulty rims. I have never bent or cracked a rim on any previous car.

Needless to say if that crack isn’t tended to, and came apart at highway speeds, it would definitely be catastrophic.

 

I agree with not having them welded. Never seems to work. Maybe a whole new set of something stronger. LA streets are horrible and I spend all my time dodging potholes.
