Hey man , no biggie, was a gasket. "intake manifold gaskets" replaced under warranty.

Car runs amazing lol.

Hope you had a great X mas.

Guys the folks at DTLA MB service are amazing.

I have been there 2x Service A was 217.00 included OIL and free rental C230 sport with AMG tips!!

The first service was 92.00. Barry or Tino are the guys to see if anybody is fearful of R A P E.

Sam I know you have connections so this is only for the Los Angeles folks who are not happy with service depts at other places.

They also were supportive of the ECU tune and I had em rolling over the r comp slicks on the rear!! Guy says "uh you need new rear tires" I say " uh no they are superior to fully treaded Pirellis..LOL

Oh what a fun day.

Hey man........ I've been drag racing my car on a track twice a month since I got it 5 months ago I've also took it to a race track (twisties) and been racing it on the streets like crazy.

I didn't get the check engine light thing yet, but I know I will

Please post the ticket write-up information just in case this issue gets around

I had this a while back...very rough idle, the car was shaking. Apparently, there's some kind of magnet used with the camshafts that "got stuck in the open position" which is what I was told by my SA.

Does not sound right. Intake gaskets are metal and have no reason to go bad or leak. They are sandwiched by the intake manifold and heads and held down by 20 bolts.

Let me see what code P2187 is.

Makes no sense. It seems like they are trying to create work for themselves.

It is code P2187 (system too lean at idle, Bank#1) I cleared the code. I will see if it comes back on. I also had another light on about 2 weeks ago P0410? Aux air valve system x2. Cleared that code also and now this? Time for some pros to chime in. What,s going on here? Car runs fast but slight misfire at Idle. I have a new camera set up in the ride you guys have got to get this set up Will post info when I get Home.........

P2187 (system too lean at idle, Bank#1) I cleared the code.

=========> If you have black engine oil gauge, it needs to be changed to the red one. I had same problem but after changing it never happen again.

Yes, indeed.

It appears, that the bolts were not torqued properly during inital built, so gaskets leak after a number of miles.

Rick, have your local dealer do a TSB.

Hey Vadim or James,

On that TSB that James posted, why is there two different codes for the same problem?

I have a scanner I use from the shop that does all the work for my Dealership. I am taking The Beast to the dealer to get the work done on Jan 3. I ordered the parts for the TSB, just to make sure they are in stock when I bring the car in. The parts are (2) intake gaskets, (10) intake bolts,
(1) harness , (2) misc other gaskets , (1) tube special sealer .
Also the S/A stated that the gaskets for the intake are a new type . I may just tighten down the bolts to spec and see if the light comes back on. Hey what about the post that talks about the oil dip stick?

It is the same problem, depending on which side leak occurs, the code will be set for the right bank or left.

I have been using them for a number of years now and their software has been very easy to use and datalog with.
