So I just purchased a set of catless downpipes for my RS5 from SupremePower. Should I have asked for the Vic discount?

You should have told me.... I saw them getting packaged up; they look great.

Vic has always had great taste and as long as he likes it, that what matters.
As a side note, I am debating between a AMG GT and an 2014 R8V10. Any insights on both cars since you have them. What are the pluses and minuses on both?

As for the R8 I have the 2012 with the SMG tranny so there is no comparo to the 2014. The 14 has the DSG and is a much smoother driving unit with the dual clutch tranny. I would consider either of those cars but not the GT; it would have to be the GTS because of the power and options plus the GT isn't even available yet. I don't have any seat (drive) time in the 2014 R8 but the interior is dated. You do get AWD so its an easy car to drive and enjoy but the V10 does lack tq compared to the GTS. The GTS has an incredible chassis set up with 53% of the weight in the back and you can really drive the car hard and to the limits while still enjoying rwd and less understeer. Both cars have the magnetic shock set up which is the best on the street IMHO. Sound wise is very subjective but oem vs oem I like the GTS with the R8 getting the nod if you mod it. I love me some V10 screams in modified mode. The GTS is clearly the winner on the interior and is the easier car to drive around the streets and in traffic. The GTS is also the easier to mod as a simple ecu tune gets you 110hp and 130 tq thru the sweet spot ranges.
I meant the GTS and I drove it last week and somehow felt disappointed with the power.
I obviously did not do a race start but it did not feel like a 11.3 second car.
A rolling start and 30mph stomp just felt "slower" than a tuned CLS. Maybe I am wrong...
I hear the tune does help but is it true that you cannot take the ECU out yourself. I do not have a local tuner so that is a concern.
The car I drove had the upgraded interior and it was truly a special place to be in. The Audi does not feel special at all in that department.
