Storing my GTs this winter..what to do?
Any pointers on storing my GTs over the winter months; Dec - April?
I'll have it on the battery tender and covered. Thoughts on: Fuel additive? Tire pressures? Rodent deterrents?

Send it to me and I will exercise it for you. It would be a great Monday-Friday ride.

storing your GTS for the winter
We live 1/2 of the year in DC and the other half in Florida.
My GTS stays in DC so here is what I do:
1) purchase a " tire cradle" it really works exceptionally well to provide flat spots on your tires.
2) increase tire pressure to max as recommended.
3) connect the provided trickle charger
4) make sure your car is cleaned and cover it up.
5) turn off the lights and say " night-night" until spring!

My AMG mechanic recommended Sta-Bil fuel additive and to make sure it was on the supplied trickle charger. The lithium battery is evidently a $1,700.00 item.

You do not need tire cradles at all. Been doing this sort of thing for over 40 years. Put 40 lbs of air in your tires, stablil in the fuel, making sure you run it enough for it to reach the injectors, put the supplied charger on the battery and fly to Florida. Cone back in April, hose her off and wipe her down, fire it up, check the tires and enjoy. Trust me, I'm one of the 6 people on this forum that really does own a GTS.
For the benefit of, you know who are, for my 458 Umblumgato, I hire 4 portly Turkish women to lie under each tire. This is after I have them rubbed down with scented oil. Once a week my personal trainer pedals a bike/generator to keep the battery up to charge. I fill the tires with laughing gas to keep the tires happy.
