As I stated in my post, you can put a 15mm too long bolt on your stock wheels and the spin freely.
The hubs on our cars are 12.6mm or so long. I have no idea how anyone can run a spacer smaller than 15mm succesfully, unless it does not have a hubcentric design, or it is really thin to allow the hub to protrude through.
I think the 10mm spacers (and 12) appear problematic.
The stock lug bolts are 2 piece fancy things. You wont find long versions of these, I bet, but the lug bolts for a C63 from H&R, for instance, work fine.

15 on the back look and work great.
10 and 12 would look good on the front but not have the wheel centered by the hub, which is 12-13mm long. Some have claimed to run this set up, but no one has gone into details about how it actually works.
I'm thinking I'll try my 15s on the front and see what I think.

I tried a bunch of things
I ended up with 15mm in the rear and 5mm in the front. I agree 10 in front would be perfect but they don’t fit with the 12.6mm hub lip protrusion.

Thanks, great help. I realize it's a PITA, but would you mind posting a profile photo of this 15/5 combo? Which lugs did you use?

Here you go...
If memory serves the factory bolts have a thread length of 18-20mm. I added the spacer depth and ordered new sizes for both accordingly from H&R.

Thx! Big help. If that front is only 5mm, it still looks fine. By pushing the rear out 15mm, the front needs 'something' but 5mm appears to still leave room for a drop without rubbing if desired.

I kept the oem widths with my aftermarket rims (9's and 11's) and am trying to get the offsets but he is a tight *** (the builder ha).
What I do know is that Weistec tried to put 275's in the front and its not optimal to avoid rubbing. I think the car is maxed at 265 so a 9 or 9.5 wont really matter except for 6mm (split the inner and outer of half an inch) in offset. And that's a big maybe because if I push my car out further I will rub in the front. I think with the right rear offset you can get a 12 on there:

bringing this old thread to the top, since my question don't deserve a new one.
How would new Gtc or gtc 50th edition wheels look on gts. You can option gtc with gts wheels but would the oppositelook ridiculous?
Oem gts rear: 20x 11", ET68
edition 50: 20x12", ET46
about 25mm extended vs original. Does this stick out too much?

Im stating all this based on your numbers you supplied.

The ED50 is 1/2 an inch more outward (wheel only) plus the 22mm in offset so the actually difference is 34/35mm which would be too much. Its the narrow body that kills the option along with the wider wheel. With a 15mm on the OEM GTS the net offset is ET53 and thats aggressive so a 12 inch wheel at ET46 is beyond.

I’ve always used H&R spacers on many cars and have never had issues.
So word of warning. It seems that any size spacer up front might be an issue. 15mm on the rear were perfect.

If you look up our car on H&R's site, it will show a 13mm spacer. That's the minimum thickness if you want it to be hubcentric since the hub lip protrudes about 12.4mm. Any hubcentric spacer that is thinner will not sit flush on our cars.
I'll have to test fit some 3d printed spacers before I decide if 13mm up front is too aggressive or not. With that said, member sl600fanatic in the H&R spring thread is using 15mm's up front.
I have a set of 20mm's for the rear but I'm waiting for my bolts to come in before I can try them. I'll post some photos of the rear setup next week hopefully.
