If you enjoy the car, you enjoy the car. Matters not whether you're in traffic. I used to drive my Ferrari 4-Cam in traffic simply because I enjoyed driving the car. In LA there are a few 'musts': AC, music/radio and comfortable seats. I'm sure the GT S has all of those.

Migg48 got it right on point.
You probably could get a 991TT which is arguably more comfortable, has back seats and is quicker.
You chose the GT because it speaks to your heart and not your brain.
Go get it and enjoy it as DD.
I know I will

Thinking about replacing my 991 TT with the GTs. I DD my 991TT 12 mos a year in NY. I have Michelin Pilot Alpins and the car is unbelievable in poor weather. In the snow I laugh at all the people getting stuck on hills with their front drive cars I test drove the GTs and it rides smoother then the TT in comfort setting but TT definitely has more comfy seats and cabin. If I go with the GT s I'll have to use another car for winter days.
