PE | mcchip-DKR AMG GT/GTS Stage 1 ECU Tune | Photos & Dyno

mcchip-DKR Software Optimization | MB W166 ML63 Stage 4
Performance Eurowerks | The Exclusive North America Distributor

Introduction
mcchip-DKR is a world renown tuner based out of Germany, just outside of Frankfurt. For over a decade now, mcchip-DKR has specialized in ECU software development for performance street and motorsport application. In-house, they have a Superflow 880E 4WD dyno where initial development is conducted. Well majority of their tunes and hardware upgrades are further developed on the street and race track.

Throughout the globe, mcchip-DKR has been one of the first to develop a proper and reliable ECU tune for many of the MB AMG cars. They have such a vast amount of experience in forced induction application to produce strong power/torque throughout the power band, along with consistent reliability. Beyond just high horsepower street cars, mcchip-DKR is heavily involved in motorsports. They tune and campaign a fleet of cars around the globe in some of the bigger racing competitions. In another thread, we'll certainly share more about their motorsport program which we assure, will not disappoint you!

MB AMG GTS Stage 1
mcchip-DKR has been spending a lot of time in turbo development for the whole AMG fleet. The AMG GT and GTS are known to be some of the best looking cars of our modern time. With the implementation of forced induction in the new M178 motor, a lot of development and time was spent on producing a full ECU calibration that safely and reliably delivers huge power gains. The motor and transmission respond very well to the new target parameters to consistent produce strong performance!

Vehicle Information

mcchip-DKR Stage 1 Tune

Photos
Stock baseline measured in at an impressive 540hp and 443tq.

mcchip-DKR Stage 1 put down 594hp and 528tq. Delta in gains are much greater on an AMG GT, versus the AMG GTS. Typically, end results are similar in power/torque output between the two after tuning.

Tuning Information
For our local clients, we can tune the vehicle in the shop. For our out-of-state clients, they simply remove the ECU and ship it to our shop for us to flash on our bench flashing tools. We have a pretty quick turn around time in which we can get the DME back in the mail either the same day or following morning!

This has been addressed many times over the forum.
Bottom line: you pay to play and take a risk.

Sorry for the very late replies everyone! Been traveling abroad in very rural areas with little internet connection.

Warranty is kind of an interesting topic when it comes to modification. In theory, a dealer should not deny general warrantying of your car just because its modified. For example, because you have a modified tune, does not mean that your windows or brakes lose warranty coverage. But if a dealer can prove that a specific modification is the underlying cause of an issue, then of course that more than likely will not be covered.

As emericr mentioned, this is kind of the gamble us enthusiasts take when modifying any vehicle. Fortunately, we try to make everything as very factory integrated as possible that pose little to no risk in reliability and consistency of the car. We've had numerous Porsche, BMW, AMG, Audi/VW cars with our ECU tunes, suspension/brake upgrades, all of which have continued to have normal dealer service warranty intact without question.

Thank you everyone for the kind words and inquiries!
Sorry for being absent the last several months. Race season is full in effect and our hands have been so tied with prepping cars for the track.

We have more photos of a stunning White GT-S on the dyno for some tuning as well!

Let us know if we can source not just ECU tuning, but also downpipes and turbos!

Nice looking tune, I like how you do not provide too much excessive low down torque. Lots of tuners do that and it ruined the drivability of the car bc it's simply too much torque
