On a sort of related topic - I was at an Iron Gate auto condo show in Naperville earlier this month. 2 - 911Rs and a Magno Platimun C63 BS...man, what a tough choice to make. Wish I had such a dilemma in my life.

About your 507 versus my 507, nah, we are all brothers here in AMG. I throw digs at ROMEOE55 (aka AMG GT 17) because I know I can kick his AMG with my 991 GT3RS like a "Rag Doll."
There was an invite on Iron Gate not very long ago and wasn't able to come. Have been accumulating some Porsche GT cars and attached is my latest GT4 to add up with my 918 Spyder, 911R, and GT3RS. For sure we can meet up next spring for the Super Car Saturday. Take it easy pbaylog and good to hear from fellow AMG 507 brother.

Yeah, I thought of you and JRCart when I was there...a couple garages were just full of Porsches, some of which looked like GT3RSs. The R cars were both green striped. Iron Gate is a pretty neat concept and it looks to be pretty well occupied.
Anyway, I'll give a holler this Spring when Supercar Saturdays start back up.
Good to hear from you pbaylog. Yes would love to get together next spring at the Super Car Saturday. There's quite a few 918 owners here in Illinois, thus the sight of a handful 911Rs.
mshort2 (Matt) checked in here not very long ago. He said he will visit here more often. How is AMG PL? Are the prisoners running the asylum there now? They suspend people there when the "fake/wannabe" AMG models are being criticized there.

I think the quoted statements by the Porsche execs are a bit misleading and amount to nothing more than PR fluff meant for the masses.
Arguably, the Porsche "exclusive sports car" brand has long been diluted with the mere existence of the Cayenne and Macan. A more accurate statement would have been their reluctance to dilute the brand any further, and let's be honest, it's a reluctance, not a direction set in stone.
If need be, they'll build what it takes to stay in business, just as they did with the Caynenne.
Yo ROMEOE55 howdy doody BUBBA? Good I hope. Nah the garage queen is my 918 Spyder, not my 911R. Both of which by the way are very, very, highly collectible.
Do you read how many journalist describes the 911R as "Everyone's Dream Car"? How about the Amazon "Grand Tour" video where the PORSCHE 918 Spyder beat BOTH the LaFerrari and the McLaren P1. Go buy the video ROMEOE55 you should be able to afford an Amazon video, you'll like it.
By the way I wonder why are you so bitter? Were you neglected or abused when you were young? My humble all brick driveway is best I can do to park the "DA TOYZ 4 DA BIG BOYZ." I think my garage is better than where you live, which is at "Section-8" south of Atlanta? Hope your new toy AMG GT is doing well and have fun with it BUBBA.
