Looking for GT S car cover
As the title states, bought a GT S (edition 1 package) and will be needing a car cover for it. Question for you all, a) does anyone else with the edition 1 package have a recommendation towards a cover, and b) if there are used covers someone is looking to sell, pass it my way.

Not sure if the Factory provided
it or the dealer provided it
He made sure that there was
no extra charge

The factory cover, if it is a Mercedes one, is for indoor use as a dust cover. Not meant for outdoors - it is thin and soft - no grommets, etc. Of course the dealer could have given a third party cover with the car...

was told it was an indoor cover only
and that all GT S's come with the
cover from the factory
I reminded him that this was in its
most basic format a car salesman
talking and he should check his
paperwork to see if he paid for it

After that same sticker shock, I picked up a Satin Stretch, indoor 'fits all GT/S' cover. Excellent cover with the caveat that it wasn't exactly designed with the wing in mind so the contour lines are slightly off. Still, for the money, a great choice.

Ordered mine through AutoAnything after confirming the fit and part number with Covercraft. I don't recall the part # but it's the only one that popped up. Very well tailored to the lines of the GT/S and even though it wasn't specifically designed with a wing in mind, it works fine.
I do however recommend ordering it in a single color to avoid accentuation of the lines as they get a bit distorted by the aero-kit wing. For a non-winged car, it's perfect and the various pattern choices will work seamlessly.

But they did such a great job of computer designing this to conform to the lines of the non-winged car that the wing just forces the panel seams in the rear quarter panel area to ride a tad high. As I said, great cover for the money and still looks near perfect.
Is the MB Ed1 version any better?
