My story is the ****heads on this forum did nothing but attack me when I told them about how my crap mobile was burning 1 quart per 1000 miles. Instead of supporting me the dealer and the people on this forum attacked me nonstop. I hate mercedes and its evil customers.

I sold mine after 2-3 months. Someone on my town liked it and asked me if it was for sale, he was telling how good and rare the car is and how it will become a "collectors" item. I swear I thought he was screwing with me! but he was serious! the car title was still in the original envelope! I am glad I made a mistake and realized the opportunity!

I'm just not buying this at all. Generally, by the time a person is able to afford 100k plus cars, they have also gained a certain amount of maturity and life experiences. I am reading your posts and just not buying that you are a successful adult. sorry.

Yeah. I do sympathize to some degree. Last year I bought a 110k car that was burning a quart every 400 miles.

The dealer wanted to be very helpful, but in the end I am just too busy with work to be going back and forth. I did trade it in and I did lose 20k, but I needed to move on.

Good luck with the Porsche. I have one too, great car when it isn't in the shop getting repaired.

Seems like we all have our own sample of one, and then form super strong opinions on very small sample sets.

(The people you deal with matter. Porsche of Austin recently changed ownership or mine would certainly be sold. The new owner is providing great service)

It seems that Porsche has some serious service issues in many locations. I too would be getting rid of my Porsche if I had to deal with the elongated down time, extended parts delays and service personel poor attitudes.

It is true that a service department makes a night and day difference, but there is so much a mechanic can do to a car. My tech is pretty awesome, he fixed the MCT in 2 e63s wagons that made the DTC feel like a clunker. Then he could not get some glitches (like excessive oil consumption, electronic gremlins and a hissing wind noise) figured out on the GTS. So I kept my wagons and sold the GTS.
Now the GTS lives 1/2 mile from my house with a happy owner that does not mind the things annoyed the crap out of me. we both won!

I'm sure everyone remembers the 99-2004 Porsche 996s. They had many rear seal leaks and a lot of "intermediate shaft failure" which is Porsche speak for you need a new engine.

Not sure where you get your info. My 17 911 turbo s, BTW best car I have ever owned, had one issue in the past year. It was a very small leak in one of my front shocks, which was found during an inspection while my new exhaust was being put on.

The porsche shop Forman was shocked, embarrassed and very apologetic. Two days later they had the part and it was replaced immediately. No waiting for parts like the AMG horror stories we hear about.

I asked him if I could keep the old shock and he said it was being immediately sent back to porsche to be inspected.
