I believe so. That's the part # that is in the picture at the start of this thread (minus the leading A) at $25.90 before any tax and shipping.

Yes, mine ends with 1801 (no pinch springs at the back). I have ordered now the trim removal tool from amazon. Hopefully, I can remove my old emblem without further ruining my paint.

Quick note...we use this method on the regular. (package straps) laying down painters tape right near the edge helps with micro marring.

Can you share the part-number for your friend's C63? I have a C300 and I'm looking for the genuine black emblem. On ebay its $60-80. I'd like to find it on Genuine MB parts.
Thanks.

never mind... I found it:

Quick Install ‘17 GLC

I, like some members above, had some difficulty with installation due to how flush the emblem was with the hood. I could not get a trim tool, a credit card, or even floss to get under the emblem in order to lift it out. As a last resort, I ended up using a 90 degree pick to stick in the side of the old emblem- once inserted, it lifted right out. Happy embleming!

You can purchase a set on amazon for like $6 bucks. Here is a link.

Do NOT use a metal tool. These are a hard plastic that wont mess up the paint. Just put it under the edge, pry it up a mm or two, and then go 180 degrees, repeat, go 90 degrees repeat, 90 degrees repeat and it will pop straight up without damaging it - or the vehicle.
i would also place painters tape on top bottom and sides where you pry.

Thanks for this tip, just did mine with a nylon pry tool (I have a set since I'm often disassembling doors and dashboards on friends cars )

The crossbar absolutely is structural! You have a carbon bar connecting the sides of the chassis/rear shock towers, where you have the max lateral flex. There are 2 hefty Torx bolts on each end.

Who did the work? The plastic caps on each end of the strut bar are INCREDIBLY HARD to put back. At least on mine, it was a NIGHTMARE. Ended up using double sided tape as it was impossible to clip back in. And access is a real Pain - the front seats don’t move far enough forward to give you access. If you did this yourself, how did you do it?

Mine snapped back into place real easily (I have a carbon fiber strut bar). Strange you and others had such a hard time.

I have the carbon bar too. Interesting. I could not get the plastic cover to snap back in. And the plastic cap scratches the gloss carbon finish very easily, as it slides back and forth. I was able to remove the scratches with Poly Watch.

How did you access it? Did you remove the seats or lie in the back cargo area?
