For some reason my dealer does not have the option to add the 993 Lane tracking package. While lane keeping does not matter to me, the pre-safe breaking does, and i love it on my S550. Does anyone know part of which pkg that is?
Do US units come with a roll cage? I did not see the option for it.
Also, does anyone know what comes with the Carbon Fiber 1 package?

I am not happy that the Lane Tracking Package is not available for the time being. I ordered a GTC and it was not an option available (993) in the MB ordering computer. I like the two functions that it provides and use them in my GTS.
Several of us here have had their GTR sitting in the MB Vehicle Processing Center for nearly a month now with no real explaination as to why the cars can't be delivered. The last communication from MB forcasts mid third quarter deliveries.
Many of the GTR's sitting there have that feature installed and the latest DOG entry on 4/25 says that the feature is unavailable for ordering until further notice. Coincidence? Maybe.........

Can a good soul on this forum, copy and paste the info on PL, regarding the GTR options and packages. Without a vin, i cannot register.

I'm in the same situation for Saudi. Car has been produced, not shipped or scheduled for shipment yet. No reasons offered by MB to the dealer.

It s been mentioned here, it may be related to the lane keeping option that has been recently removed fron the ordering guide. It also surprised me that they were delivering 2018 MY in may of 2017.

I am pleased you were able to look up and resolve everything using the DOG on the PL.
Suggestion: Use your extensive business experience at the dealer too. If it smells or sounds like sh.t it usually is. Also, I have found that many of the newer sales people do not care about learning the products they sell. I always start with the dealership GM or sales manager to work the deal.
Now that you know there is an online system that is connected to MB Germany for deals to be entered, cars configured and most importantly accepted, please be sure to get a copy of your configured order.
