I find it hard to believe as well. But that is what I was told by this saleslady, Nina. I asked her specifically if the car had been released from VPC and she said yes, 100%. I believe the people at the dealerships lie. But that's what she told me. She invited me in to have a look. But I'm not local. Regardless, $35K over sticker is utterly insane. I'd just go buy a Lambo or something for that money.

Just got off the phone with my SA. He checked all the dealers with GTRs at the VPC in California and Florida . all of them HAVE NOT been released from the VPC... every GTR has D1 status.
I personally don’t know who’s worst, the dealers or AMG...
What a f...!!! mess....

As I said several times before WHEN the Production Code for YOUR car (read VIN) changes in the MB online system FROM D1 TO D4 Or D5, Then you can start getting excited and rounding up your money.
HOWEVER, please remember that all the GTR, GTC AND E63S cars won’t show up in the dealers at the same time.
If you are familiar with the term FIFO First In First Out then you can guess when your car will show up There are LOTS of them (read several hundred) at all of the MB VPC’S waiting to be processed loaded and delivered.
There are GTR’S that have been sitting since late March/early May that will move first so it may be a week or two or 3 or 4 before your car is actually at the selling dealer ready for you to pickup.
