VW screwed us over. Many new German cars are scrutinized for emissions. Certification, reprogramming, etc takes time and many cars are sitting at ports until release.

FWIW: NO GTC, GTR OR E63S Big Motor cars have been delivered in the US yet!
All of them that are in the US are at the MB VPC's waiting for EPA and other Certifications. Many have been there since the last week of March and early April.
Currently, MB is still saying deliveries are scheduled to start the last part Q3 or the end of September. There won't be any line jumping either. Cars that arrived first will be delivered first. For those accountants, it's FIFO.
This is the 4th delay in the actual release to the customer process with NO communication to the purchasing customers---yet (3rd week since a letter from MB was promised and not received.)
Many of us ordered our cars almost a year ago now (October 2016) The initial delivery dates were in April 2017 just like the 2016 GTS Edition 1's that JRCart and I had "birthing issues" with.
FWIW: MB USA isn't telling your local dealers OR the people on the Private Lounge anything either.
I hope this little summary helps.

It wasn't a GTC. It may have been a GT with the smaller motor.

Find out what MB VPC port it came through and what the manufacture date and serial number are if you can.
Remember most salesmen don't know "Jack Sh*t" about what they sell.

GT C is a much more powerful version (550hp) with the wider rear and rear wheel steering,etc., of the GT R.
GT C is also available as both coupe and convertible.

Seen a white with tan interior GT-C vert on the road in the wild in CA last week at an all MB meet. I didn't take pics because I didn't care that much but, you can find pics on-line it was at the EXKLUSIV meet. It had ceramics all 4 corners but I guess they all do...
