Nice. I was just told today the cars should be released by EOM. I'm hoping the suspension on the C is not too stiff (I will not be tracking the car) keeping fingers crossed. I have heard the non C model will be more compliant.

Ultimately, he said they would have a much better idea once the car reaches port.

FWIW: From what I was able to descern the Canadian GTR, GTC and E63S cars seem to be released.

It seems if CARB certifies the emissions then the Canadian authorities accept that certification and issue theirs.

There are several GTRS that inported in Long Beach, CA and were put in containers, shipped to Canada and delivered to dealers and the waiting customers.

That's very good for you guys.

Regards

Thanks for the info - that's great to know!! Seems like I may actually get a chance to enjoy the car for a month or two before it gets stored for the winter.

I was informed today my car will be released at the end of the month (I'm in the US). Do you know if the GT C's have revised suspension vs the GT S'? Concerned the suspension might be too harsh (not planning on tracking) but didn't want the base GT which is supposed to have a softer set up. .

I don't want to mislead you, as I'm not 100% sure, but I was under the impression that the GT C suspension is improved over the prior GT S suspension. I think this may have come from reviews of the GT C roadster and and GT R, as one of the reviewers has mentioned that the GT C suspension and comfort of ride should be more in line with the GT R which is apparently a drastic improvement over the GT S.

That said, even people who love the car seem to say that if you're expecting the comfort of other higher-end Mercedes models, you may be disappointed.

This is first video I've seen that gets into characteristics of GTR suspension, especially the rearend.

Randy notes the rear steer feature is a little odd and shock travel is short. I would still have to believe the GTC would be setup softer.

Edit
I can't get it to post. It's the mototrend vid with Nissan GTR.

I just read (one of the big 3 mags) on a GTC test that the damper valving is indeed less stiff than the GTS. How much.... that will take a test drive but it was written.

Thanks for the info.
I'll be coming out of a '17 S550 Coupe (w/sport pkg & 20's), so I'm keeping my fingers crossed it won't be too harsh or it may not work. My coupe came with ROF's (like bricks) and the AMG cars don't, so I'm hoping it wont be too much of a difference.
I understand some are willing to pay $10,000 over to get these cars, wondering how long that will last and if production will remain limited?

I seem to remember reading that as well. But I can't remember which mag!

I think the GT C Edition 50's are limited to 500 coupes and 500 roadsters worldwide. The is the only reason I think there may be a chance for somewhat of a sled depreciation, otherwise, they would be just like the Edition 1's which I believe had no strict limits
